Tackling Peak Oil, Climate Change and Economic Breakdown

What is the Future of Money?

To discover how a local economic model might look, come to a discussion with Matthew Slater from Community Forge http://cf6.communityforge.net/en/home

Wednesday May 6th Moville Library @ 7pm
All welcome! Refreshments provided.

Across the world, people are finding solutions that allow growth in the community without dependence on grants and the economic model that we've inherited. And they are having fun with this new found freedom!

Are Complementary Currencies the next steps in community development projects? Find out how we can discover new/under-used local resources, increase volunteerism and social cohesion, increase economic resilience, promote local self-resilience and lower environmental impact.  Is it debt-free, interest-free and community owned?

Matthew Slater is a software engineer who co-founded Community Forge to support communities in setting up systems for mutual exchange. He works throughout the world, most recently in Greece.  He is in Northern Ireland this week to help set up a local economy system with a community group.  He will answer questions from anyone with an interest in exploring this idea.

Please share this event info & poster with friends and others you think might be interested - both online & printed for notice boards. Hope to see you on Wed. evening, May 6th at Moville Library for a cuppa and a stimulating talk!
