Futurescapes: Building a better future for wildlife and people

   

Only three weeks to go to Ireland’s largest and most prestigious Wildlife gathering!

Excitement is building in the run up to the 43^rd annual All Ireland conference held jointly between RSPB Northern Ireland and BirdWatch Ireland.  

The conference is for anyone with an interest in nature, experts and non-experts alike. This year’s theme is Futurescapes and the need for a landscape scale approach to conservation across Ireland, showing how everyone, from farmers to gardeners has their part to play in ensuring the survival of our diverse habitats and the wildlife they sustain.

We are looking forward to a fantastic weekend, including presentations from top quality speakers such as Dick Strawbridge, and local experts and leaders in the field of conservation, field trips and of course our fantastic gala dinner and drinks reception.

 

We also have events for children aged 5–12 years, focusing on conservation, education and fun! Then on Sunday there are fieldtrips to the beautiful Castle Upton, Belfast Harbour Reserve and Portmore Lough Reserve.
