Building Resilience
Opportunities and Threats in a Changing Climate
Tuesday 2nd October 2012
Grosvenor Hall, Belfast
9:00 – 14:00
Do you consider the impacts of Climate Change in your organisational plans?
Do you understand the effects that changes in weather patterns and their consequences will have on your organisation?
Are you ‘future-proofed’ and resilient in the face of a changing climate?
Do you need – or have – a Climate Change Adaptation Plan?
Northern Ireland is developing a Climate Change Adaptation Programme and Climate NI is managing the stakeholder input. While this is a government strategy, and a requirement under the UK Climate Change Act 2008, government departments are keen to have the input of all other stakeholders into their plan, and to encourage all organisations to understand the impacts that climate change will have on your work, your clients, your business and your services - whether you are in the public, private or voluntary sector.
This conference will look at the above questions and both encourage you to consider climate change adaptation in your own work and provide input to the government consultation exercise. If you would like to attend, please complete the
online WUFOO conference registration form at:
Also, we are looking for input via a web-based survey, which we would be very grateful if you would complete. It should only take 5 – 10 minutes to complete the questionnaire linked below. It will help us greatly in providing feedback to government and we hope it will assist you in recognising the impacts which climate change may have on your work.
Thank you very much for your time, and we hope you can come to the conference. If you have any questions please contact us. We look forward to receiving your questionnaire response.
Yours sincerely,
Patrice Cairns
