Tackling Peak Oil, Climate Change and Economic Breakdown
Tree planting event at Burntollet Wood: Saturday 20 March from 12 to 4pm
The Woodland Trust is delighted to invite you to the above event.
Burntollet Wood sits in the tranquil Faughan Valley, not far from the city of Londonderry. This young wood has a wonderful location. It’s right beside Ness Country Park – an Area of Special Scientific Interest, which contains fragments of rare ancient woodland.
This is a chance to make a living, lasting contribution to Burntollet Wood through the simple act of tree planting. You’ll also have the chance to discover the beauty of Burntollet via a guided nature trail, while bird expert Dot Blakely will share a wealth of bird identification tips.
Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and bring welly boots/stout footwear (and a spade, if you have one!). You will find directions below, and if you should require any further information, please visit www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/burntolletor telephone our Bangor office on 028 9127 5787.
I have also taken the liberty of attaching a poster. I should be very grateful if you might have the opportunity to share this with any colleagues.
