Time: 2.00 – 4.00 (join us at 1.00pm for a shared lunch)
Venue: The Junction, Bishop Street, Derry/Londonderry
Bishop Street Quaker Meeting is hosting this meeting. It will be an opportunity for informal discussions on how the growing Quaker environmental and Transition Town movements are contributing to thinking and action around environmental sustainability.
It will be a chance to share ideas on what we can do as individuals, what we can do locally, and what we might do collectively to influence government.
Everybody welcome – including children.
There won’t be formal childcare but the room downstairs will be available and the main room is big enough to accommodate us all. Bring books/toys etc.
EcoQuakers Ireland is a committee set up by Ireland Yearly Meeting to encourage and support Quakers across Ireland to consider what actions they might take individually and/or collectively on these issues.
Transition Derry works locally as part of a worldwide initiative which is building community resilience to face the effects of Climate Change, Peak Oil and Economic Breakdown. To find out more go to http://transitionderry.ning.org
