it was a wild wet night so no-one ventured out. I really enjoyed Cod - a great way to learn about fishing and the Basque people. Yes. I'm happy with it as next choice.

just finished reading "how the rich are destroying the earth" by Herve Kempf. translated from the original French this concise volume reads as the title sugguests. essential reading for anyone in any doubt as to the state of play in the globalised world we now inhabit. at 100 pages it won,t take long to get through, though i should say it is a sobering read. copy i read came from shanthallow library.

Hello there...so shall we have Tuesday 28th April 7.00pm as a date for our first bookclub?
I am easy with other dates and days of the week but usually the start of the week is best. I guess will have a session every 6 weeks or so. I will ask for the use of Seniro Common Room when I am back. We could also use the book club to show/review movies together and then maybe select a few for a main screening after!!
