Tackling Peak Oil, Climate Change and Economic Breakdown

ZWNW First Public Meeting

No to Incineration, Yes to Zero Waste

Date:  19th September 2013

Time: 7:30 – 9.00pm

Place: City Hotel, Derry

Zero Waste NW was formed in Spring 2013 due to concerns about the environmental and human health implications of the proposed gasification facility at Maydown.

Since then, we have been researching successful models of waste reduction and resource extraction.

We invite you to meet us, learn more about the campaign and hear from two speakers who can put the issues into a worldwide context.

Dr Paul Connett was until 2006, Professor of Environmental Toxicology, St Lawrence University NY. Since then Paul has been travelling the world to share his expertise on waste management.

Mal Williams is executive director of Zero Waste Wales. Mal has an extensive knowledge of current waste management systems and provides insights on how to drive change and move towards a circular economy with “Zero Waste”.
