Tackling Peak Oil, Climate Change and Economic Breakdown

Do you work with communities?  Do you have an unloved site near those communities with landowner permissions?   Would you be able to produce a 3 year maintenance plan beyond autumn 2016 for the site?  Would £120,000 help you make it accessible to the wider community, highly visible and inspiring?  Could you have the project ready for launch by April 2014?  If the answer is yes to ALL of those questions then the Grow Wild Team would like to hear from you.

Grow Wild aims to bring people and communities together all across the UK to make a difference to where we live by sowing native wild flowers. This is an ambitious 4 year project led by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew and funded by the Big Lottery Fund. We are particularly looking to involve young people between the ages 12 – 25, especially disadvantaged young people in positive and transformational community activity.  Grow Wild will involve a wide range of partners, community and voluntary organisations across the UK and will be supported by national and local media, featuring on a major terrestrial television programme.

Please contact John Woods, Grow Wild Partnerships, Northern Ireland j.woods@kew.org or 07917 264 891 for an application form and guidelines.

Deadline is 2 July.
