The interest in timebanks has grown in the last year in Belfast, with the Holywood Transition Town setting up their own timebank group, and with the Volunteer Development Agency hosting several networking events.

A Time Bank Broker training session will be held on Friday 30th April from 9.30am- 1pm in the Volunteer Now* Offices- 129 Ormeau Road, BELFAST, BT7 1SH. (City Centre end of the Ormeau Road, opposite the Clanmil Housing Estate.)

There will be no cost for this training.

The training will be facilitated by a Time Banking UK representative. This session would suit those who understand the basics of time banking and its core values.

The overall aim of the session will be to give participants the confidence to start up a time bank. It will focus on the essential skills of becoming a time broker, which will include:-

-the essential start up paperwork,
-insurance and risk when organising time exchanges
-the skills of a Broker
-overcoming problems
-future support and training
